The Macomb Community Cat Project believes that Community Cats (free-roaming stray, abandoned, or feral) have value and deserve to be treated humanely.

Our mission is to improve the lives of Community Cats by reducing cat overpopulation in our neighborhoods through the practice of Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, & Return (TNVR) and by educating the public about TNVR.

The MCCP was founded in the fall of 2023 by 2 determined women with 4 traps. Using targeted TNVR practices, they were able to help 50 cats during the first year with the help of Dr. Blakeley at All Pets Veterinary Clinic, county funds, and private donors.  It is the MCCPs hope to grow our capacity to TNVR the estimated 1500 community cats in Macomb, thereby improving the quality of lives of both the cats and the residents of Macomb.
